This “S” model FTR1200 is in great condition with aftermarket exhaust and finished in red over steel grey. The bike was first registered in 11/30/2019 and had 475 miles reported in 2/22. Based on tire condition when we received it one should assume it has over 4000 miles at this point but the display was replaced (unfortunately a common issue with Indian) and mileage right now reads under 10 miles. A new rear tire was installed. The bike shows like a brand-new bike with no real scratches or blemishes. New battery and ready for anything you want to throw at the bike, on or off-road. The rear tail section of the bike with license plate holder and turn signals has been removed and the turn signals are installed under the seat with no true license plate bracket. Makes the bike look much better but may not be legal in your State. Please check with your States’ requirements. Bike is sold AS-IS. You can find used ones for retro fit on ebay.

FTR Models were introduced in 2019 and were launched as a direct competition to the Ducati Monster type bikes. Tying the FTR to the competition history of flat-track racers of pre WWII and adding nostalgia to a completely computerized bike. Fitted with gyroscopic sensitive ABS, full touch-screen display/controls and offered in three different levels of “options”. The “S” (Sport) and the “Race Replica” version both have ABS standard and feature adjustable shocks. Ride style modes from Rain, Normal and Sport allow different engine management. Wheely-control built in for safety. An engineering marvel.

The oldest motorcycle company in the US is not as most people believe Harley Davidson but Indian Motorcycle Company. Founded in 1901 two years before Harley they have been making classic iconic motorcycles for decades. During WWII the company was an essential supplier of motorcycles to the US military and after the war struggled in making the transition back to the civilian market. Their operation came to an end in the early 50s. The company was bought by Polaris in 2011, who just a few years earlier started the very successful “Victory” brand.

Polaris invested a lot of money in designing a new frame and a brand new engine for just this bike. Two years later the Chief was introduced followed a year later by the Scout. Classic lines of the long swooped fenders and the icon war bonnet on the front fender with exceptional built quality made the new Indian a feared competitor to Harley Davidson who did not have much competition before in the domestic market.
