The famous Softail line started in the late 70s a s a new design, picked up by Harley Davidson in the 80s and became of their signature lines still produced today. The hidden suspension of the rear frame gives clean lines and allows for easy install of side bags and other accessories.

The nice classic swooping fenders bring a nostalgic flair to the bike while allowing for a modern ride.

The previous owner bought this bike in 2005 with 500miles on the clock. It was enjoyed by that owner for 17 years before he just could not ride it anymore. Sat more than it was riding the past years and eventually turned in to us. The bike runs and rides just fine (I had it up to 70Mph) but does not like to stay idle and has a light backfire at 30-40Mph. The carburetor needs to either be blown out or cleaned. ($400 if we do it here).

This bike lived close to the beach and therefore has some chrome rust issues associated to that. Please see the walk around video of the bike on our website. It has practically new tires all around and needs nothing mechanically. The 88ci motor runs perfect, and it is one of the last built carbureted bikes out there. By 2005 most of the bikes coming from York were fuel injected.

This makes a great daily driver or a nice project for someone to restore its original glory with a little effort and tine, both options are good options and the bike is worth it either way. True low 23K miles is the sweat spot for doing either.
