The bike's ride is about as plush as it gets. The suspension is set on the softer side, which allows the bike to float down the highway. All of the '08 rubber-mounted bikes also received a new top motor mount that seems to make the bike more stable. Above 1500 rpm, the vibes were quelled. It's possible that the new motor mount is adding some of that idle vibration. Seating for rider and passenger was equally cushy without causing your body to sink in and fall asleep. One feature that I enjoy is the ability to remove the windshield. The quick-detach shield on this bike is very tall and requires riders to look through it rather than over it. Like many of H-D's touring bikes, the RK sports a pair of the best saddlebags in the business. All in all, the Road King is a sweet ride. It has a nice balance of nostalgia combined with the touring basics. It's versatile, too, and easily accommodates a detachable Tour-Pak and the other touring accouterments that H-D and others offer. This model has lots of extras to include engine upgrades, a leather-covered tour pack, a center stand, and more. There are several minor blemishes (see photos).
